Yamashita Park
There is a convenience store called "HAPPY LAWSON" in Yamashita Park, and there is a café which can make children play in it, too.
This is an oasis of Yokohama by the Sea and a pleasant park.
A variety of events are held on weekends. You can also watch performance by street performers on weekends.
On July 15 and 16 of this year(2017) on the coast of Yamashita Park, the Fireworks festival was held in the name of the "sparkling twilight".
Yokohama Marine Tower
Yokohama Marine Tower was built in 1961 and was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records as the tallest lighthouse in the world at that time.
However, the lighthouse function ended on September 1, 2008.
Now it is loved as a symbol tower of Yokohama Port.
Observation floor
From the observation floor on the 30th floor, you can overlook Yokohama Port and, besides Minato Mirai 21 area and Yokohama Bay Bridge, you can also enjoy the night view of the plant such as Honmoku wharf.

The statue of the guardian of water
There is a fountain in Yamashita Park, and there is a statue at the center. In fact, the city of San Diego and the city of Yokohama is a sister city. It is a guardian of the water donated from the city of San Diego in United States in 1958.
Hikawamaru
Originally, the Hikawa Maru was a passenger ship of the Seattle route.
In 1932, Charles Chaplin was aboard. During the war Hikawamaru was active as a hospital ship.
After the war, Hikawamaru returned to the liner of the Seattle route in 1953.
The Hikawamaru finished the voyage with 238 times across the Pacific Ocean in 1960. From May 1961, Hikawamaru was moored in Yamashita Park.
The propeller shaft has been removed and cannot be run anymore.
The color of the ship was painted in emerald green at first, and it became blue before long. Since the last half of 1980, it has been black.
Anyone can board the Hikawamaru on the day except Monday.Even adults can get in at only 300 yen.
Hotel New Grand
A historic hotel with famous people such as British royalty, Charlie Chaplin and Babe Ruth from the opening days.
MacArthur stayed at this hotel after the war as the high commander's lodgings. Room 315, where he had stayed, can still stay in the name of the room "MacArthur Suite".
